When visiting the Porto region, one of the main attractions is touring Port wine cellars. Currently, there are two options with an integrated Fado concert: Calém’s and Rozès.
The most popular option is the Calém Wine Cellars, which for 23€ offers a tour, wine tasting, and Fado concert. However, I cannot recommend this option because it is a commercial Fado concert for the masses.
As an alternative, I suggest you visit Rozès instead.
The tour itself is exclusive and private, which elevates the entire experience to another level. At the end of your tour, you will enjoy a guided tasting of Port wines, sample a variety of regional snacks, and listen to a private and intimate Fado concert.
Where is Rozès Cellars located?
Is this Fado experience for me?
If you are planning to visit a Port Wine Cellar and would like to listen to a Fado show, Rozès Cellars is a great choice. Learn about the history of Port wine during your private guided tour, and then enjoy an intimate, authentic Fado performance.
If you prefer a less expensive option, I suggest a visit to the Burmester Cellars and then afterward you can attend one of the many Fado concerts in Porto.
Reservations Required
A visit to Rozès Cellars is by appointment only, and it is required to reserve your spot in advance. Prices depend on the tasting options you choose and the number of people in your group.
